Don't want to buy multiple beds for your baby? Who does? A convertible crib is a sensible choice for long term planning. Essentially, a convertible crib begins as a baby crib and when the child is ready for a toddler bed, can be easily converted. A convertible crib offers the safety and protection of the crib railing when converted to a toddler bed and usually features an adjustable height mattress for toddlers to climb in and out of easily. Most are designed to remove a portion of the railing, thus converting the crib bed into a toddler day bed. When planning long term for your baby's sleeping furniture, a convertible crib is a potential cost saver.
