Tip of the Week

Purchasing baby beddingcan be an overwhelming task due to the enormous amount of choices available. When obtaining bedding for your baby, take into account the same things you might consider when buying bedding for yourself. Important features like quality and comfort also affect your baby's sleep and safety. The following are some useful tips to reflect on while shopping for baby bedding: Appreciate that the cost of baby's bedding does not always translate into higher quality. If you are diligent in your search, you can discover many inexpensive options (including a pattern, fabric type and styles) to match any nursery décor. One of the most important safety and comfort features in baby bedding design is the fit of the sheets to your mattress. Sheets and bedding that are too short can obviously become uncomfortable and bedding that is too large can pose a strangulation hazard for a baby. Heavy blankets and comforters dress up a crib, but should never be used with a younger child due to the risk associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, SIDS.The crib mattress needs to fit exactly into the crib to prevent the danger of an infant becoming wedged between the mattress and the crib railing. When selecting a mattress with either coils or foam, it doesn't really matter - each are safe and comfortable.Invest in a waterproof cover to protect against the inevitable messy accidents.
