Tip of the Week

Having a baby is expensive! Babies incur many costs, especially when it comes to buying disposable items needed for everyday baby care. Here are a few tips to help you save money on baby wipes:

Instead of buying a separate, travel-sized package of baby wipes, tote around wipes from your supply at home in resealable ziplock style bags (they keep the wipes moist)

Make your own wipes: Cut a full roll of thick quality paper towels in half, leaving them rolled up and still attached. Place rolls in a large plastic container with a locking lid. Mix together in a separate bowl, 1 Tbs. olive oil and 1 Tbs. mild, hypo-allergenic dishwashing detergent, plus a little water to increase the moisture. Add this mixture to the towels in the container with extra water, if necessary, to thoroughly coat the towels. Allow rolls to soak in closed container until completely saturated. Store rolls in resealable plastic bags to keep them moist and for convenience.
