October 13, 2006, Newsletter Issue #37: Practical Baby Clothes

Tip of the Week

When shopping for pregnant friends and family, buy smart baby gifts. Baby clothing is a practical and enjoyable gift for expectant parents. Whether you are buying baby girl clothing or baby boy clothing think functional—don't necessarily buy charming clothes with pink bows or blue tugboats on them. Instead, buy baby clothes that meet the subsequent recommendations: Made out of a comfortable fabric. Avoid collars and sleeves that are tight around the neck, arms, or legs Research the size on the tag as it usually goes by months but true baby sizes vary. Acquire clothing that employ snaps or zippers that are easy to use. Consider outfits with feet built on (keeping socks on little ones can be a task). Check the washing instructions and avoid baby clothing with difficult directions such as dry cleaning.
