Baby Quilts
Avoid situating your baby in harm's way! As with purchasing anything for your new baby, safety is always of utmost importance and
baby quilts are no exception. The one place that a baby will spend abundant amounts of time unsupervised, is their bed. Therefore, the crib environment should be scrutinized for safety.
When choosing a baby quilt for your baby, avoid small beads or decorative items sewn or glued to the quilt. While they may be "cute" they also pose a choking hazard to your baby should the items come loose. Thoroughly examine any
baby bedding product, researching potential hazards. Baby quilts dress up a crib, but should not be used for a sleeping baby until they are older. Any blanket or quilt with loose threads, fringe or knitted sections has the potential to unravel and become a hazard.
Keeping safety in mind, the sky is the limit when it comes to themes and styles available. Baby quilts are also a great gift for a baby shower or expectant mom.
