March 7, 2008, Newsletter Issue #107: Baby Shoes

Tip of the Week

The decision to purchase baby shoes is a controversial subject for many. While acquiring baby shoes is a fun way to dress up your baby, shoes are not a necessity in a baby clothing wardrobe. According to some doctors, putting restrictive shoes on baby's feet too early may actually prohibit the baby's foot development. For a special occasion, baby shoes are not an issue. Simply try to avoid regular use unless you find soft flexible booties, which are actually widely available, cute and protect your baby's feet. Ultimately, until your baby actually begins to walk and cruise, shoes are discretionary accessories.
