January 4, 2008, Newsletter Issue #98: Safety of Baby Furniture

Tip of the Week

A little homework researching substantial baby purchases is time well spent. When determining the types of baby crib, baby high chair, baby changing table, or any other piece of baby furniture, investigate any recalls or product information recently issued with regards to safety concerns. The federal government distributes formal recall notices and many manufacturers also mail safety alerts. Always double check with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and baby product reviews to assure the highest level of safety possible. Ultimately, if something appears unsafe about any baby furniture product, resist purchasing.
