August 17, 2007, Newsletter Issue #78: Books for Baby

Tip of the Week

With the large variety of children's books readily available, finding an appetizing book for an infant is trouble-free. Books for babies with patterns and large pictures quickly capture their attention. Infant books stimulate and entertain as babies learn about their world. As your baby grows, touchable books with different textures are fun as they allow your baby to experience distinctions in composition. Younger babies do not possess the attention span for lengthy stories; so don't despair if a favorite book loses your baby's interest quickly. One hint in buying baby books is sturdy construction, such as board books or even plastic books. Remember, everything baby learns about first goes into baby's mouth.
