With a large assortment of baby nursery themed decorations and products available, the following are the pros and cons of sticking to a strict theme.
First the pros: Nursery themes enable an easier decision making process to filter through the unlimited choices. For baby showers and gift ideas, baby nursery themes take the guess work out of selecting products and ensure you will receive items that fit your personality. A nursery theme is also an identity statement and gives the room instant personality.
Now the cons: Many nursery themes are unoriginal and produce a cookie cutter style of decorating. As children grow, their interests will change causing a theme to lose interest. Some nursery themes have a particularly short life requiring regular updating and redecorating in the future. A highly decorated nursery theme could make it difficult to fit a prized gift or treasured item that does not match the intended theme.
