June 30, 2006, Newsletter Issue #23: Baby Crib Safety

Tip of the Week

Infant crib accidents rank third among the top causes of death and injury to infants due from nursery room product hardware. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that if a crib has any loose, missing, or broken hardware, the crib is not safe and to simply discard it. For the safety of your infant baby, it is necessary to use a crib that meets current federally regulated standards. If you're ever in doubt, visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website at www.cpsc.gov, to determine which infant cribs are recalled.
